Gigas in Stellar Blade is one of the several bosses you will encounter during your 20–hour run of the game’s campaign. Players will encounter this particular Alpha Naytiba after they pass through the ruined city, and before heading into the city of Xion. It resembles a large beast with a circular chainsaw-like head and can be quite the challenge for the uninitiated.
A breakdown of the Gigas in Stellar Blade can be found below, detailing its movesets and the general strategy to follow.

How to easily beat Gigas in Stellar Blade
Battles in Stellar Blade are fast-paced and rather difficult, with the Gigas being no exception. Here is a general strategy you can follow against this particular boss.
Get used to parrying and dodging attacks
The Gigas in Stellar Blade represents the game’s first major spike in difficulty. As such, you must be extremely cautious during Stellar Blade boss battles, opting to make use of parries and dodges as and when necessary.
It is highly recommended to parry attacks instead of blocking them, as it will keep the enemy off-balance and deplete their shields quicker. Dodging is also a viable option but is best left reserved for unblockable attacks (indicated by a yellow flash).
You can always polish up your skills using the built-in Training Mode.
Beware of Gigas’s Phase 2
Once Gigas’s health drops to 50% or lower, it will go berserk and enter into a secondary phase. His fists will be covered in magma, making attacks all the more deadly.
The Gigas in Stellar Blade can now make use of several AoE (Area of Effect) attacks, causing pools of magma to spill out. Make sure to dodge these attacks to avoid losing out on a large chunk of your HP.
Do not get too greedy with attacks and take time to heal
Much like Soulsborne titles, the Gigas in Stellar Blade also require patience to deal with. You must learn the enemy’s attack patterns and react accordingly. Do not overexert EVE during battles and make careful use of combos.
Make sure to counter attacks using the Blink ability, when the enemy flashes blue. The Gigas can also throw a set of rocks at you, which can be easily dodged.
Take the time required to step back and heal, making sure not to be interrupted by a combo in the process. Additionally, it is recommended to make use of the camp to stock up on the Rechargeable Tumbler.
Use Beta Skills and Shock Grenades to ‘cancel’ enemy attacks
A way to cheese through the fight is by using upgraded Beta Skills to interrupt and stagger the enemy. When the final hit of the Beta attack connects, it will break a part of the Gigas’s shield and simultaneously cancel its combo chain.
The Shock Grenade is also capable of doing the same, and it topples over the behemoth, buying you a precious few seconds to recover and/or deal damage.
These moves will allow you to avoid taking damage and deal with the Gigas swiftly. You can also lower the Stellar Blade difficulty if required.
