Georgia Bulldogs players selected in the 2024 NFL Draft: Round 1
Brock Bowers, TE
Brock Bowers was the first Georgia Bulldog selected in the draft as he was selected 13th overall by the Oakland Raiders. Bowers has proven to be a solid passing threat as he was one of the best pass-catchers in the program.
Despite missing a month of games with a high ankle sprain, he finished with 56 receptions for 882 yards (15.8 yards per catch) with 13 touchdown receptions.
Amarius Mims, OT
With the 18th pick, the Cincinnati Bengals beefed up their offensive line and selected offensive tackle Amarius Mims. He’s going to be a solid offensive tackle to keep quarterback Joe Burrow upright as they have had issues with the offensive tackle position.
This move seemed smart and the Georgia product will protect one of the top quarterbacks in the NFL.
Georgia Bulldogs players selected in the 2024 NFL Draft: Round 2
Ladd McConkey, WR
It did not take too long for the Bulldogs to have a player come off the board as the Los Angeles Chargers selected Ladd McConkey with the 34th overall pick. He will be Justin Herbert’s newest target and he had a good 2023 season for the Bulldogs.
Last season, he finished with 30 receptions for 478 yards (14.4 yards per catch) with a pair of touchdowns. He missed a handful of games at the end of the regular season but looks to be 100 percent now.
Kamari Lassiter, CB
The first defensive player for the Georgia Bulldogs comes off the board as cornerback Kamari Lassiter was taken by the Houston Texans with the 42nd overall pick. He finished last season with 37 total tackles with 0.5 sacks and eight pass deflections. This Texans team made a massive leap last season and now has another member of the secondary to continue improving.
Javon Bullard, S
Another member of the Georgia secondary is taken off the board as the Green Bay Packers drafted safety Javon Bullard with the 58th pick. Bullard showcased how he can be an immediate factor for the young Packers as last season he posted 56 total tackles, five pass deflections and a pair of interceptions. With a division that has a lot of solid receivers in the NFC North, this will be a great add for a team ready to make the playoffs for a second consecutive year.
Georgia Bulldogs players selected in the 2024 NFL Draft: Round 3
Tykee Smith, S
The 89th pick of the 2024 NFL draft was by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and they selected Georgia safety Tykee Smith to bolster their secondary. Smith is likely going to be stationed as the nickel cornerback as the team signed Jordan Whitehead and have Antoine Winfield Jr. as their starting safeties. Smith has an aggressive style of play and should be part of the special teams unit as well.
