Recent Dragon Ball Sparking Zero leaks claim that the game’s release date will be October 1, 2024. The report comes from a dataminer who goes by the name of SergioM3R. This datamine was shared by @DBsHype on X. SergioM3R pointed out that the October 1 date leak could possibly be a placeholder that functions as a rough estimate of when the title may be officially released.
The dataminer also stated that the title was rated in Singapore just a week ago and was even listed with a 2024 release date at one point.

Is Dragon Ball Sparking Zero getting an October 2024 release?
It’s also important to note that the Dragon Ball franchise is celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2024.
Since it has been 40 years since the late Kira Toriyama’s Dragon Ball manga was first serialized, it’s highly likely that Dragon Ball Sparking Zero will get a release later this year. This will also coincide with the launch of the new anime, Dragon Ball Daima, which premiers this fall.
Hence, it won’t be too surprising if the game gets released on October 1, 2204.
Dragon Ball games historically had October releases
Dragon Ball titles have also historically had their official releases in October. Even the Budokai Tenkaichi titles were released on October 1 of their respective years. This release window had been a long-standing tradition for the franchise, and Dragon Ball Sparking Zero will likely follow suit.
Apart from the release date leaks, there have been several other confirmations surrounding the game, including new game modes and characters like Goten, Kid Trunks, and Caulifla being part of the roster. The Gotenks and Kefla fusion forms were also confirmed along with a 5v5 mode.
There is likely a lot left to be unpacked as Dragon Ball Sparking Zero’s release window gets closer. More information may be revealed during the Summer Games Fest in a couple of months.
