WWE Superstar Asuka shared a bizarre message today on social media. The Damage CTRL member recently posted an image of herself in a knee brace and a video of her walking with crutches on social media.
The RAW star has been out of action since she and Kairi Sane lost the Women’s Tag Team Championship to Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair at Backlash last month. The Empress of Tomorrow was supposed to partake in the Queen of the Ring tournament this year but was ruled out due to injury.
Her Damage CTRL stablemate, Dakota Kai, replaced her in the tournament but was eliminated by Lyra Valkyria. The veteran took to social media today to share a bizarre video. She uploaded herself in a car for a few seconds, and you can check it out in her post below.
WWE Superstar names Asuka as her dream opponent
Sonya Deville recently stated that it would be a dream match to face Asuka on WWE television.
The former Women’s Tag Team Champion tore her ACL last year but recently returned to WWE RAW. She has approached Natalya, Zoey Stark, and Shayna Baszler backstage in recent weeks, seemingly in an effort to form a new faction.
In a recent interview with Chris Van Vliet on the Insight podcast, Deville noted that she has had a bunch of non-televised matches against the former champion in the past. Sonya Deville added that the former Money in the Bank winner is one of her favorites to work with but they have never had a storyline on television.
“I’ve had a million matches with her but not a lot televised, and never a singles televised to my knowledge. Asuka is one of my favorite opponents. We would have awesome matches down in NXT seven years ago, eight years ago on live events and road loops. And it was my favorite match to this day, but we never got an angle on TV,” said Deville.
Despite all of the veteran’s accomplishments, Asuka has never won a match at WWE WrestleMania. It will be interesting to see what the promotion has planned for the 42-year-old when she returns from injury.
