Woman in court charged with death of supermarket worker
A 37-year-old woman has appeared in court accused of killing an Asda worker in Arbroath.
Prosecutors allege Natasha Smith pushed the 61-year-old causing him to fall and suffer a cardiac arrest at the Westway Retail Park store.
She faced a charge of culpable homicide during a brief appearance in private at Forfar Sheriff Court.
Ms Smith was remanded in custody and is expected to appear in court again next week.
Officers were called to the supermarket at about 19:25 on Sunday.
Police Scotland said the man, who has not been named, was unresponsive and pronounced dead at the scene.
Ms Smith, of Arbroath, also faces charges of acting in an abusive manner towards other staff members and stealing alcohol.
