Becky Lynch has taken a step away from WWE in recent weeks. Now, a current WWE star has pointed out why she was put into “early retirement.”
Recently on social media, Liv Morgan reposted a tweet from WWE saying that Becky Lynch was one of the biggest stars in the company. Morgan said that it was right – Lynch had been one of the biggest stars, but she was not one any longer as Morgan had retired Lynch. While Lynch had stepped away from wrestling after her contract with WWE reportedly expired, she has not announced her retirement yet.
However, Morgan’s announcement appears to indicate that the star may have finished up her wrestling career at this time. While fans will have to wait to see how Lynch responds to the claim, this is not the first time that Morgan has said she retired Lynch.
Earlier this week on RAW, she also gave the reason that she had put Lynch into early retirement. She was confronted by Zelina Vega in a segment on the show where Vega called into question her legitimacy as the Women’s World Champion. However, Morgan immediately talked about what she had done for the championship. She mentioned how the title meant everything to her.
Liv claimed that she had forced Lynch to retire early only for one reason, and that was for the title. She also pointed out how she took out Rhea Ripley for the title as well.
“I took out Rhea Ripley for this championship. I put Becky Lynch into early retirement for this championship.”
Liv Morgan is ready to do anything she needs for the women’s title after putting Becky Lynch into early retirement
Liv Morgan had one goal when she returned to WWE for her “revenge tour,” and it was to take away anything and everything that Rhea Ripley loved. She even took away Ripley’s ability to wrestle by injuring her.
She also forced Becky Lynch out of action, defeating her twice in a row to win the title. Forcing Lynch to retire was a requirement for her on the revenge tour, but it was only to win the title, as she has stated. This was a title that Ripley had held until recently.
Now, Morgan is focused on holding onto the title and going after the other thing Ripley loves: Dominik Mysterio.
