Pregnant para-archer Jodie Grinham beat ParalympicsGB team-mate and defending champion Phoebe Paterson Pine to win bronze in the womenâs individual compound.
Grinhamâs bronze in Paris is her first individual Paralympic medal after she won compound mixed team silver at the 2016 Rio Games.
Trailing by two points after the fourth end, Haverfordwestâs Grinham, who is seven months pregnant, scored 29 in the fifth and final end.
It was a total that couldnât be matched by Paterson Pine, who scored 26 to lose the tie 142-141.
âIâm really proud of myself, Iâve had difficulties and itâs not been easy,â said 31-year-old Grinham.
âBut as long as Iâm healthy and babyâs healthy, I knew we could compete. I knew if I shot as well as I could, baby or not, I could come back as a medal.
âBaby hasnât stopped kicking, itâs almost like babyâs going âwhatâs going on, itâs really loud, mummy what are you doing?â. But it has been a lovely reminder of the support bubble I have in my belly.â
Grinham is back in action on Monday in the mixed team compound with Nathan MacQueen.
