Season 3 of ABC’s reality show Claim to Fame ended with a thrilling two-part finale on August 28. The season started with 11 contestants, each hiding their connection to a celebrity. In the end, Adam won the $100,000 prize by correctly identifying the celebrity relatives of the other contestants. Adam is the nephew of famous singer Michael Bolton.

Shane stayed under the radar for most of the competition, but in the second-to-last episode, his strategy unraveled when his wine cellar hint was revealed. Mackenzie, one of the remaining contestants, switched tactics and guessed Shane’s celebrity relative instead of targeting Adam. She correctly identified Shane as the grandson of Oscar-winning actor Marlon Brando. After this revelation, Shane was sent home, ending his journey in season 3.

Mackenzie competed in the last stage of the competition alongside Adam and Hud, however, her journey ended after the final challenge. The competition heated up as the eliminated participants returned to help and occasionally hamper the remaining players. Adam, who had been a target all season, used the tension between Mackenzie and Hud to score a key victory.

In the final guess-off, Adam elected to take the lead and correctly identified Mackenzie’s celebrity relative. Mackenzie is the daughter of Trace Adkins, a country music singer. Adam accurately recognized her father in the last minutes. With this right guess, Mackenzie was eliminated from the competition, finishing third.

After Mackenzie was eliminated, Adam and Hud were poised to face off in the final. Despite allying with Mackenzie earlier in the game, Hud found himself up against Adam in the final round. Adam had acquired numerous clues about Hud during the season, indicating a tie to the music industry.

Adam made his final guess and accurately recognized Hud’s celebrity relative as John Cougar Mellencamp, the iconic rock musician. Hud, identified as Mellencamp’s son, received a touching video message from his father following his removal. This guess secured Adam’s victory, leaving Hud in second place.
