NBA fans, who were clearly bored with the long offseason, reacted to Jayson Tatum’s rap skills against Jimmy Fallon.
Some took a shot at the Boston Celtics star, as well as Chet Holmgren and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. The OKC Thunder duo was featured in a hilarious singing ad for AT&T earlier this year.
“This is far worse than the SGA Chet commercial,” a fan commented.
“We never beating the auraless accusations,” one fan claimed.
“Ngl this is sooo cringe,” another fan remarked.
There were more reactions to this post.
“Jimmy Fallon is a better rapper,” a fan joked.
“I can’t even defend this shit why my idol so cringey,” one fan commented.
“It took me 15 minutes to get through that,” another fan replied.
Jayson Tatum is having the time of his life this offseason despite what he went through in the Olympics. Tatum might have won a gold medal but his playing time was scarce and there were a lot of questions about his fit with that Team USA roster under coach Steve Kerr.
The Boston Celtics superstar also had great success after being the cover athlete for NBA 2K24 and now he can also call himself a best-selling author.
Jayson Tatum releases children’s book
Jayson Tatum added children’s book author entitlement to his stacked resume following the release of “Baby Dunks-a-Lot: A Picture Book” earlier this week. Tatum was inspired to write the book based on his experience with son Deuce, who has been a staple on Boston Celtics games and social media.
Speaking to CBS News about his book, Tatum explained how he teamed up with his co-author Sam Apple to publish a story about a toddler becoming a basketball superstar. He already had the idea for two years and finally made it a reality.
“To share a piece of our routine and story with the rest of the world, I was super excited about it. … Honestly, my favorite part is when him and his teammates take a nap. Obviously, as a parent, you need your kids to take a nap. In the NBA, we all take naps before the game,” Tatum said.
