UK YouTuber, Sidemen member, and rapper JJ “KSI” has been involved in an ongoing controversy recently. The creator was accused of launching a series of tirades against DanTDM following the latter’s criticism of Lunchly (a pre-cooked box meal created by KSI, MrBeast, and Logan Paul). However, the online frenzy doesn’t end there.
The Sidemen member has now faced mixed reactions after he shared a snippet of his upcoming song with Trippie Redd titled Thick Of It. Listen to the chorus here:
The popular X.com account FearBuck (@FearedBuck) shared the snippet which garnered several reactions online. One user quipped:
“Who listens to this?”
Another user shared similar sentiments, writing:
“WHO LET THIS NI**A THINK HE MADE GOOD MUSIC???,” said @YorzTrulyJuice
The original post comparison KSI with the vocals of Ed Sheeran. Reacting to this, another X user wrote:
“How much did they pay you for this tweet? ” said @fqnos_
That said, not all of the comments were negative. One user remarked:
“He has shades of SPECIAL,” said @destroynectar
Another said:
“I can’t wait to hear the rest of this song, the tone sounds so good bro,” wrote @Molleh361628
Exploring YouTube star KSI’s music career
KSI has had a rather diverse career, being on YouTube since 2009 and gaining experience in content creation, boxing, and music. The YouTuber has achieved success in all three disciplines to varying degrees.
KSI’s early songs were known for their high-octane energy and often humorous lyrics. One of his early singles, Lamborghini, which he released on YouTube in 2013, remains a fan favorite to this day:
In 2017, KSI showcased a different side of his musical talents during a heated exchange of diss tracks with fellow Sidemen members. One of his most popular tracks from this period was Little Boy, which was shot at the FaZe House and aimed at Harry “W2S.”
The YouTuber has released two studio albums so far – Dissimulation (May 2020) and All Over the Place (July 2021). Both albums sold over 100,000 copies and charted (in the UK) at number 2 and 1, respectively.
KSI is set to release two new singles in the coming days. The first is Thick Of It, featuring Trippie Redd, and the second is titled Low.
