Adam Cole made a shocking return at AEW WrestleDream 2024. He has now commented on it.
Cole has been embroiled in a feud with MJF since last year. After the latter lost his AEW World Championship at Worlds End 2023, the Undisputed Kingdom leader revealed himself as The Devil after his henchmen laid out MJF in the ring. The 28-year-old then went on a break for a few months.
MJF returned at AEW Double or Nothing 2024 and attacked Cole. Since this assault, The Devil wasn’t featured on AEW TV. However, this past weekend at WrestleDream, Cole made a shocking return and chased MJF out of the ring. He seemed fine during his return and was even able to run down to the ring without limping.
After his return, Cole took to X and broke his silence.
“Guess who’s back?” he wrote.

MJF also reacted to Adam Cole’s return at AEW WrestleDream
MJF is one of the top heels in the company. The former AEW World Champion turned heel after returning from his hiatus earlier this summer. In recent months, he has been feuding with rising star Daniel Garcia. The two men battled each other at All Out 2024.
Since his victory in that match, Maxwell Jacob Friedman hadn’t been seen on AEW TV until he made his return at WrestleDream to confront Garcia. However, he was soon upstaged by a returning Cole. It now looks like Cole has gotten Friedman’s attention after chasing him away this past weekend.
Following Cole’s return, MJF took to X to send a threatening message to his former best friend.
“Adam Cole. You’ve made a big mistake,” he wrote.

It will be interesting to see when these two former best friends and tag team partners will compete against each other again.
