NBA fans were unhappy with Minnesota Timberwolves center Rudy Gobert‘s Halloween costume. On Tuesday, Gobert arrived for their game against the Dallas Mavericks dressed as a “Big Bad Wolf.” With the Wolves not playing Thursday, the All-Star center took the chance to celebrate early.
Halloween has always been a fun holiday in the league, with stars dressing as their favorite fictional characters. Gobert is one of the players that makes the effort to dress tastefully.
In 2017, he attended a Halloween party with Raul Neto and Ricky Rubio when he was with the Utah Jazz. The Frenchman dressed as an Egyptian pharaoh with an ancient crown and a snake staff.

In 2021, he wore a silver vest that exposed his chest. The defensive big man also had silver paint on his face.
This year, Gobert chose to wear a wolf mask instead of going overboard with his makeup.
But fans weren’t impressed with Gobert’s costume.
“Nice just pudy! You just ruined Halloween,” a fan said.
“Bro is NOT tough😭🙏🏽,” another fan said.
“Hiding his face because he knows Luka’s about to embarrass him…. Again,” a fan said.
Fans continued to roast Gobert because of his costume.
“Oh great a f**king furry,” a fan said.
“But tall goofy **s werewolf,” another fan said.
“Annoying af,” a fan said.
The Wolves signed Rudy Gobert to a new contract extension
Before the start of the season, Rudy Gobert signed a three-year, $110 million extension with the Timberwolves. The deal will reflect on the 2025-26 season after Gobert’s five-year $205 million deal expires.
The big man was happy about the new deal. Gobert believes it was a “win-win situation” since he’s enjoyed playing for the franchise, and they value the services he provides.
“I’m happy here,” Gobert said. “My family is happy here. I want to win a championship here — and also, my next year’s contract was really high. So being able to allow the team to keep our guys, that was the win for the Timberwolves, but to keep me for a longer term was great for both of us. For me, just giving me a little more stability long term was what we were looking for. I’m really grateful. I’m really happy.”
Since arriving in Minnesota in 2022, Gobert has remained healthy and serviceable to the team.
