WWE legend JBL has worked alongside several big wrestlers and celebrities at the Stamford-based promotion. The Hall of Famer recently recalled a moment wherein he worked with one of the greatest superstars to ever live, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and highlighted what he did in WWE.
Arnold Schwarzenegger is a towering name in both the bodybuilding world and Hollywood. The Terminator-fame actor had also worked with WWE several times and was a big admirer of the pro wrestling business as well. Appearing in the latest episode of Backstage Pass, JBL highlighted how humble Schwarzenegger was in his conduct with wrestlers despite his massive stardom.
“He was the biggest superstar in the world at the time. And he would sit back there with his kids and he would go up to the wrestlers, you know, some big names, some, you know, first match, some guys, you know, just doing jobs. And he would ask everyone, do you mind if my kids take a picture with you? As polite as he could be. And he was the biggest star in the world at the time. I mean, that guy, he’s something special,” said JBL. [14:50 – 15:30]
Thus, while Arnold Schwarzenegger must have had his favorites, he ensured that he paid the same respect to every wrestler, jobber or superstar, who stepped in the ring.
You can see the full interview and much more by signing up for Backstage Pass. It would be interesting to see if and when Schwarzenegger makes his landfall at WWE.
