Oumar ‘Reug Reug’ Kane is ready to bring maximum violence when he faces Anatoly Malykhin in the biggest match of his career.
The Senegalese wrestling machine will challenge the three-division world champion for the ONE heavyweight MMA world title in the main event of ONE 169 on Nov. 8, US primetime, at the historic Lumpinee Stadium.
Taking to Instagram, Kane ramped up his weekly trash talk of Malykhin and promised to do something utterly sinister against the Russian knockout machine in Bangkok.
‘Reug Reug’ wrote:
“I’ll eat you dead or ALIVE @anmalykhin @onechampionship”
This wasn’t the first time Kane used his social media platform to talk smack about Malykhin.
Kane’s go-to lines were calling Malykhin a “fake champion” and accusing the reigning ONE middleweight, light heavyweight, and heavyweight MMA world champion of ducking him.
While trash talk is a far too common practice in MMA, Kane’s remarks can be rooted in his unbridled confidence heading into his world title showdown against Malykhin.
Kane is on a four-fight winning streak and is the only person to beat BJJ legend Marcus ‘Buchecha’ Almeida in MMA when he scored a unanimous decision win over the Brazilian superstar at ONE Fight Night 13.
Malykhin, though, is a monster of epic proportions.
The Russian knockout machine is a perfect 6-0 in ONE Championship, 14-0 overall, with all of his wins in the promotion coming by way of knockout.
Malykhin’s dominant run of form saw him barge through Alexandre Machado, Amir Aliakbari, Kirill Grishenko, Arjhan Bhullar, and Reinier de Ridder, twice.
Kane’s world title challenge against Malykhin and the entire ONE 169 card are available live and free to all Prime Video subscribers in the United States and Canada.
‘Reug Reug’ blasts Anatoly Malykhin’s perceived one-dimensional striking game
Many have praised Anatoly Malykhin’s devastating striking, but Oumar ‘Reug Reug’ Kane took the opposite route.
Kane told the South China Morning Post that Malykhin is a one-dimensional striker who couldn’t hang with him once they square off in Bangkok at ONE 169.
He said:
“Yeah, it’s easy for me. I do it easy, you know. Malykhin doesn’t do high kicks, only punches. But in MMA, it’s everything.”
