The New Day’s 10th anniversary celebration didn’t go well, at least for Big E. After months of working as a panelist for WWE, the 38-year-old finally made his return. Making his presence felt on RAW, he tried to get through to Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods, who seemed to be on the verge of a breakup at the time. However, he was unfortunately met with some harsh words, as both his ‘brothers’ rejected him and lashed out at him.
These harsh words, as expected, were incredibly personal, as Kofi Kingston even mentioned Big E’s girlfriend, Kristen. Kingston claimed that E “chose his new girlfriend” over The New Day. But, what do we know about Kristen? For example, how did she and E meet? Well, in a piece he wrote for The Players’ Tribune, the former WWE Champion revealed that he met her at the premiere of a reality show.
In the article ‘Sour’, Big E revealed that he struggled with dating, but things were different with Kristen, who happens to be the sister of Mia Yim, AKA Michin. The two started texting in a “friendly/flirty way” and finally met when E asked her to save him a seat at the premiere of Montez Ford and Bianca Belair’s reality show, Love & WWE.
“Our first date (kind of) was actually at the premiere of Tez and Bianca’s Hulu show Love & WWE. (I know, so cheesy.) Kristen is the sister of Mia Yim, and we’d been DM-ing for a bit in a friendly/flirty way. And I knew she was going to be at the premiere, so we made plans to hang out,” wrote Big E.
The two have been together for a year now, and are going strong. E has even described the relationship simply as “the best”. It’s great to know that things are going well for them.
Big E’s girlfriend Kristen was not happy about being name-dropped on RAW
As mentioned earlier, Big E was dealt a few verbal jabs during The New Day’s 10th anniversary celebration on RAW. And one of those jabs was about him choosing his new girlfriend over Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods. Well, his girlfriend, Kristen, didn’t take too kindly to being name-dropped.
Taking to X, Kristen responded quite angrily, asking why she had to be brought into this whole mess. She then followed up that question by stating that both Kingston and Woods were starting to pi** her off.
Clearly, things went a little too far on RAW, and it escalated even further, as Woods and Kristen went back and forth on X. One thing is for sure though, E has been ostracized from The New Day, and now, it will be interesting to see what happens going forward.
