The Philadelphia Eagles managed to hang on and keep the Carolina Panthers’ surprise onslaught at bay in Week 14, taking home a 22-16 win. The Eagles offense wasn’t exactly at its colorful best as they struggled to punish a Panthers defense that has improved over the last three weeks.
Tensions boiled over after the game when Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown made a very public complaint about the offense. Brown, who wasn’t targeted until late in the second quarter, said his biggest problem was “being on the same page” as the offense. He finished the night with four catches for 43 yards that also included throwing his helmet in frustration after a three-and-out.

In an appearance on 94 WIP Afternoons, franchise legend Donovan McNabb made it clear he wasn’t happy with how the situation was playing out.
“It’s two grown men. If you got an issue, you come to me. Let’s not go through the media because now it blows up. Now what you said is out there in front of everybody,” McNabb said.
Eagles DE Brandon Graham races to do damage control over A.J. Brown-Jalen Hurts beef
After Brown’s comments went public, veteran defensive end Brandon Graham also made some pointed comments about the wide receiver’s behavior. Graham told 94 WIP on Monday:
“The person that’s complaining needs to be accountable. I don’t know the whole story, but I know that [Hurts] is trying and [Brown] could be a little better with how he responds to things.
“They were friends before this, but things have changed, and I understand that because life happens. It’s the business side. We have to make sure the personal doesn’t get in the way of the business.”
However, Graham later tried to do some damage control. He told ESPN:
“I made a mistake, and I assumed that it was something that it wasn’t,” Graham said.
“I just want to win, so bad that I don’t just want to use the media when we need to talk about something and we can fix the problem ourselves. I didn’t add to it in a good light, so that’s my bad.”
