Minecraft fans are having a good time. After a series of updates, such as the Tricky Trials, the Bundles of Bravery, and the recent The Garden Awakens, Mojang Studios has announced more exciting news. In a video released on the game’s official YouTube channel, the developers talk about a new live event in the blocky world that players can participate in.

Minecraft announces Mojang Office Party live event
In the over five-minute video, presenter Vi Bui revealed a special live event that will be hosted in Minecraft. They are calling it the Mojang Office Party, and it will be held from December 9 to December 20, 2024. During this period, players will be able to visit a fantastical recreation of the game studio’s office and explore different parts of it.
Interestingly, the office will also have a mystery. Fans will have to explore the structure and look for clues to figure out what is missing from it. There are four mini-games and many other fun activities. Players can also collect various stickers from the office. Do note that this is only for the Bedrock Edition of the game and not for its Java counterpart.
The developers of Minecraft also seem to be making the blocky game a bit spookier. The addition of the Pale Garden in the The Garden Awakens update is a testament to that. Apart from the scary and desaturated appearance of the new overworld biome, players will find the Creaking mob inside it. It spawns only at night and attacks when eye contact is broken.
Defeating it is also challenging, as players need to look for the Creaking Heart hidden somewhere in the forest. Normal attacks do not damage the mob, and breaking the heart is the only way to despawn it. Looking for this item while maintaining eye contact with the spooky mob will be difficult, and players may be forced to come up with some creative ways to deal with it.
The The Garden Awakens update is out and available for download. Players who want to join the Mojang Office Party live event will have to wait until December 9.
