“Gabba (bat ball emoji).”

Notably, Sundar had made his Test debut in Brisbane, scoring 62 and 22 in his two outings. He shared a 123-run partnership with Shardul Thakur for the seventh wicket in the first innings to help the visitors bounce back into the contest. The off-spinner also bagged four wickets in the match.
“Washington Sundar can come in place of R Ashwin” – Cheteshwar Pujara picks his India playing XI change for Brisbane Test
Indian cricketer Cheteshwar Pujara picked Washington Sundar ahead of Ravichandran Ashwin in his India playing XI for the Brisbane Test. The 36-year-old pointed out that the tourists needed to strengthen their batting after being bundled out twice in Adelaide. He recently told Star Sports:
“I feel only one change might happen. Since the batting wasn’t good, Washington Sundar can come in place of R Ashwin. Should someone come in place of Harshit Rana? In my opinion, no. You backed him and he performed well in the first match.”
Sundar returned with scores of 4 and 29 and bagged two wickets in the first Test in Perth, where India won by 295 runs. Overall, the 25-year-old has 24 wickets and 387 runs, including three half-centuries, in seven Tests.
Pujara, meanwhile, backed Harshit Rana despite going wicketless in the second Test. He said:
“He is a good bowler. You cannot drop him just because one match went bad. Probably the only change for me would be Sundar for Ashwin if the team feels the batting lineup needs strengthening.”
Harshit Rana finished with 0/86 in his 16 overs in the second Test.
