Murder inquiry as man, 18, fatally stabbed
A murder inquiry has been launched after an 18-year-old man was fatally stabbed.
Emergency services were called to Heanor Road in Ilkeston, Derbyshire, at 20:20 GMT on Saturday following reports of a stabbing.
The man was found in the road with a stab wound, Derbyshire Police said, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Det Ch Insp Claudia Musson, who is leading the investigation, said: “The investigation is very much in its early stages, and we are urging anyone with information, that may assist with our enquiries, to contact us as a matter of urgency.”
The man’s family have been made aware and are being treated by officers from the force.
