As per reports, Real Madrid are prepared to offer playmaker Jude Bellingham and winger Vinicius Jr the same wages as Kylian Mbappe. Last summer, they signed Mbappe on a free transfer, after the French forward left Paris Saint-Germain. They also signed Endrick from Palmeiras for €47.5 million, with the 18-year-old Brazilian widely recognized as a talent for the future.
Mbappe has been widely expected to take over from Cristiano Ronaldo at the Santiago Bernabeu, making him their biggest signing in recent years. The World Cup winner takes home an impressive €15 million after taxes each year – meaning he earns the highest wages at Valdebebas.
However, according to a new report from the Athletic (via Football Espana), he could be joined by Vinicius Jr and Jude Bellingham in the coming years. The Brazilian winger and English midfielder got to the 2024 Ballon d’Or podium, coming second and third place, respectively. They have also enhanced the club’s profile, driving them to win La Liga and the UEFA Champions League last season.
Following their impressive performances in recent seasons, Real Madrid would like to make them the face of the Valdebebas sporting project, alongside Mbappe. To do so, they are prepared to take their wages up to Kylian Mbappe’s level. Vinicius and Bellingham reportedly earn €10 million per annum after taxes, but a 50% wage hike will see them earn €15 million each.
Vinicius Jr’s deal is set to expire in 2027, meaning that the club would need to begin negotiations for an extension in the coming year. However, Bellingham’s contract runs until 2029, and it may be some time before an extension, which will include the increased wage, if offered.
Carlo Ancelotti speaks about Kylian Mbappe as Real Madrid conclude 2024
Carlo Ancelotti spoke about Kylian Mbappe and how the French forward has overcome his struggles, as Real Madrid concluded football in 2024. They played against Sevilla in their last match of the year, beating Nervionenses 4-2 on December 22, with Mbappe scoring a goal.
After the game, Ancelotti discussed the year so far, while answering questions about Mbappe’s improved turn of form. He told the press (via the club website):
“He’s pretty much settled in now. He’s showing good form and he can still improve. He’s delivered some good performances, he’s recovering from the little injury he had. He’s motivated and happy to be here. He needed to take this time to settle in, as anyone does, but he’s done that now.”
Indeed, Kylian Mbappe has scored four goals in his last five league games for Real Madrid. Despite intermittent goalscoring droughts, he has scored 14 goals and provided four assists in 24 games so far.
