Emma Raducanu is looking for a new coach after Nick Cavaday stepped back from the role to âprioritise getting back to full healthâ.
Britainâs Raducanu went through a string of coaches before turning to Cavaday, who worked with her as a junior, shortly before last yearâs Australian Open.
The 22-year-old missed the majority of the 2023 season after wrist and ankle surgeries, but returned to the worldâs top 60 last season under Cavadayâs guidance.
âIâd like to thank Nick for a great partnership over the last year and a bit, especially post-surgeries,â Raducanu said.
âI wish him all the best in his next chapter and no doubt weâll stay in touch.â
Raducanu is now searching for the seventh full-time coach of her professional career.
She was coached by Nigel Sears when she made her breakthrough at Wimbledon in 2021, before Andrew Richardson helped the teenage qualifier create history at the US Open later that year.
Raducanu also had brief stints with Torben Beltz, Dmitry Tursunov and Sebastian Sachs after splitting with Richardson.

Former childhood coach Cavaday, who has known her since she was 10 years old, proved a more stable presence.
In December, Raducanu said she enjoyed the continuity she felt with Cavaday, adding it was not her âphilosophy to chop and change coachesâ.
âIâve never really wanted that. In the past, unfortunately, it hasnât always worked like this,â she told a small group of British reporters at the National Tennis Centre.
âWhen I enjoy it, and itâs a good energy, then itâs a nice feeling.
âI also see how much Iâve developed in the last year as well, on and off the court.â
Cavaday, 38, worked with Raducanu up to the Australian Open, where she lost in the third round.
Since leaving Melbourne, Raducanu has travelled to Singapore for a WTA 250 event with fitness trainer Yutaka Nakamura.
âI am very happy to have been able to work with Emma over the last 14 months,â said Cavaday.
âAt this moment in time, itâs important for me to spend some more time at home and prioritise getting back to full health which is hard to do with the extensive calendar.
âI am glad Emma is back to being established on tour now with a ranking inside the top 60, and I look forward to seeing what she does from here.â
