Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk says he has âno ideaâ whether he will stay at Anfield beyond the current season.
The Netherlands international is one of three high-profile players â along with Mohamed Salah and Trent Alexander-Arnold â who are out of contract in June.
Talks between Liverpool and Van Dijk have been ongoing for some time and the 33-year-old defender has previously indicated he is keen to extend his stay.
However, in the wake of Liverpoolâs Champions League defeat to Paris St-Germain on penalties he acknowledged there remains some uncertainty over his future.
âI still have no idea at the moment. Genuinely,â said Van Dijk.
âAt the moment I donât even know what will happen next year. If anyone says they do know, they are lying to your face.
âEveryone knows there are some conversations behind the scenes but that is about it.â
Liverpool are 15 points clear at the top of the Premier League, will play in the Carabao Cup final on Sunday against Newcastle, and had been challenging in Europe until their last-16 shootout defeat to PSG.
Van Dijk was asked whether discussions over his future had been paused in order to focus on matters on the pitch.
âIt is not on hold. Nothing on hold,â explained the centre-back.
âListen, there are 10 games to go [in the Premier League] and that is my full focus. If there is news, you guys will know it. I donât even know myself.â
