Mikey Musumeci reached peak Sith Lord mode.
‘Darth Rigatoni’ looks absolutely ripped ahead of his bantamweight debut when he faces old tormentor Gabriel Sousa in a submission grappling match at ONE 167 on June 7 at Impact Arena.
The reigning ONE flyweight submission grappling world champion shared his progress on Instagram nearly a week before his rematch against Sousa.
“HEAVIER 145 Mikey ❤️ // My last pic in Merica before flying to Thailand. My whole goal this season is getting heavier without becoming a fat a$$ “chubbier” 😂😂 I was able to put on some muscle and strength and keep my extremely high endurance that I have when I am lighter!!!”
He added:
“Excited to do this picture against when we go up to 170 or however much higher my coaches @cobrinhacharles and Coach Cal @treigning_lab want me for my match in September! Let’s do this! GAINZ SEASON 🔪🐶❤️”
Musumeci and Sousa first faced each other at Who’s Number One in 2021, but the American star lost the first encounter via submission.
Nearly three years after the loss, Musumeci is hellbent on avenging the defeat and pushing his perfect ONE Championship record to 7-0.
ONE 167 is available live and free to all Prime Video subscribers in the United States and Canada.
