Met Police officer admits stealing from man who died
PA MediaA Metropolitan Police officer has pleaded guilty to misconduct in public office after stealing money from a man who died after collapsing on the street.
Craig Carter, 51, from Harlow in Essex, took about £115 during the incident in Hornsey in September 2022.
He appeared at Wood Green Crown Court where Judge Daniel Fugallo told him to expect a custodial sentence.
Carter was granted bail and is due to be sentenced at the same court in September.
