Catriona Matthew has announced this year’s Women’s Open will be her last.
The Scot, 54, won the championship in 2009 and this year’s event at St Andrews will be her 30th consecutive appearance.
The two-time winning Solheim Cup captain will skipper the Great Britain and Ireland team when the leading female amateurs take on the United States in the Curtis Cup at Sunningdale next week.
Matthew has 11 professional wins, including four on the LPGA Tour and six on the Ladies European Tour.
