Wrestling veteran Konnan feels Triple H is doing a great job managing the creative team in WWE.
The Game took charge of the creative team soon after Vince McMahon stepped down from his responsibilities in 2022 amidst several allegations. Since then, WWE has seen a gradual rise in popularity, with several up-and-coming stars getting their fair share of the spotlight. All of this peaked at WrestleMania XL when the company did record-breaking numbers in ticket and merchandise sales.
On a recent episode of the Keepin’ It 100 podcast, Konnan mentioned that The Game was probably making small changes that Vince McMahon never bothered about. He felt Triple H understands how to keep the talent morale up, and he is doing it well now that he is in charge of the creative team.
The veteran also mentioned that everyone backstage loved the Chief Content Officer, and he never heard a word against him.
“I think I read an interview where he actually alluded to such where he was like, ‘If I ever get a hold of this place, I’d change this and this and this.’ He’s hearing things from wrestlers or production that never actually gets to Vince’s ears or Vince didn’t care but he understands how important they were. Now he’s getting his chance. Everybody that I’ve talked to loves Hunter.” [From 1:48 – 2:11]

Triple H ushered in a new era for WWE
During the WrestleMania weekend, Triple H kicked off the show, welcoming the fans to the biggest ‘Mania of all time. He claimed that this was the dawn of a new era for WWE.
The next night, his wife, Stephanie McMahon, also spoke along the same lines. She pointed out that this was the first ‘Mania under Triple H’s full creative control and heralded it as the “Paul Levesque Era.”
Fans seem to be responding positively to this change as WWE continues to do record-breaking numbers. It will be interesting to see how the company fares as they begin their international tours with Backlash in France in May.
