The Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in Stuttgart came to an end, with fourth seed Elena Rybakina winning the tournament after beating Marta Kostyuk 6-2, 6-2 in the final. The total prize pool of the WTA 500 tournament was $922,573.
The Kazakh thus won her third title of the 2024 season, having previously clinched two other WTA 500 events at the Brisbane International and Abu Dhabi Open. She now has 26 wins out of 30 matches so far this year.
Rybakina’s performances at the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix will fetch her a prize money of €123,480 while Kostyuk’s runner-up finish will see her earn €76,225.
World No. 1 Iga Swiatek and sixth seed Marketa Vondrousova were both ousted in the semifinals and they will receive €44,526 each.
Second seed Aryna Sabalenka, third seed Coco Gauff, Emma Raducanu, and Jasmine Paolini were all eliminated in the quarterfinals and they will earn €23,435 each.
Fifth seed Zheng Qinwen, seventh seed Ons Jabeur and Paula Badosa were among the eight players who were out in the second round of the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix and they will each be paid €11,925.
The women who were eliminated in the first round of the WTA 500 event in Stuttgart will each pocket €8,550.
