Met officer sacked for viewing Sarah Everard files
A Metropolitan Police officer has been dismissed for accessing files relating to Sarah Everard’s murder without proper policing purpose.
PC Myles McHugh, another serving officer, and a former officer committed gross misconduct by viewing the confidential files as they did not have a proper policing purpose to do so, a tribunal has found.
