MLS returns with a fresh set of fixtures as Chicago Fire and Atlanta United go head-to-head at the Soldier Field Stadium on Saturday (April 27).
Chicago continue to struggle for consistency in the new MLS campaign as they suffered a 4-0 hammering against Real Salt Lake on Friday. Frank Klopas’ side have won two of their opening nine games, losing four.
With nine points, Chicago are 13th in the Eastern Conference, level on points with 12th-placed Orlando City.
Atlanta, meanwhile, suffered their first home defeat of the new campaign, as they lost 2-1 to Cincinnati last time out.
Before that, Gonzalo Pineda’s men picked up three consecutive victories in their opening three games at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium before playing out a pulsating 2-2 draw with Philadelphia Union on April 14.
Atlanta have picked up 11 points from nine games to sit seventh in the East, level on 11 points with New York City FC, Charlotte FC and CF Montreal.
