Sami Zayn opened the show on Monday Night RAW and made a point to pick on Alpha Academy, particularly Chad Gable. Bronson Reed was hardly even mentioned, but Zayn would end up getting into a verbal altercation.
As Sami Zayn was cutting his promo, he was interrupted by the 38-year-old leader of the Alpha Academy, Chad Gable. Zayn continued to be an absolute menace to The Alpha Academy.
Sami Zayn even asked the rest of the Alpha Academy how much longer they planned to take Gable’s bullying, but nobody seemed to respond. The verbal altercation continued until their match took place.
Despite Otis being called the biggest disappointment of them all, he would be the one to ultimately help Gable pick up the win against Sami.
Maxxine Dupri and Akira Tozawa, meanwhile, were ejected from ringside by Gable himself for not helping him. Like a true coward, Gable hid behind Maxxine Dupri and even received “You suck” chants from the crowd to match the beat of his song. It could be a new thing.
This Saturday in Jeddah, the Intercontinental Champion defends his title against Chad Gable and “Big” Bronson Reed – who was absent from the whole affair.
Chad Gable has big momentum on his side, but only time will tell if he’s able to divest Sami of the Intercontinental Championship.
