The mod tool is incredibly powerful, allowing modders to create a host of user-generated content, such as new quests, and cinematic cutscenes, as well as certain other intriguing tricks – such as swapping out character models.
The modding community for The Witcher 3 has always been quite active, and the release of REDkit should further enhance the scope of the modding process, allowing for the creation of more complex mods, such as brand-new expansions.
REDkit is free to download for users who own a copy of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Keep in mind that this modding tool is only available for PC players, with no immediate plans of porting the same to consoles as of now.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is an action role-playing title from developer CD Projekt Red, and was initially released for the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in 2015. The game has since received multiple updates, and a next-gen version for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S – along with a Nintendo Switch port. It is widely considered one of the best RPGs of all time.
